Kang Yuchan (Korean: 강유찬; Japanese: カン・ユチャン; formerly known as Chan) is a South Korean singer and actor under Beat Interactive. He is the maknae of the boy group A.C.E and a former member of the project boy group UNB.

Career[]

Pre-debut[]

Chan was apart of dancing crew that specialized in popping called Alive87, he went under the name Aka Buggy.[1]

2017–2018: The Unit and UNB[]

In 2017, Chan, along with fellow group member Jun, became a contestant on KBS 2TV's idol rebooting show The Unit. He made it to the final line up after achieving 9th place, making him a member of the temporary boy group UNB.[2][3] The group debuted on April 7, 2018 with the mini album Boyhood and disbanded on December 2018.

2020: Acting activities[]

On March 18, 2020, Chan was announced as a cast member for upcoming web drama Twenty-Twenty.[4]

2023: Change of stage name[]

On August 13, Beat Interactive announced that Chan has changed his stage name and would be going by his given name Kang Yuchan for future activities from this point moving forward.[5]

On July 18, 2022, it was announced that Chan would be enlisting as an active duty soldier on August 16.[6] He was discharged on February 15, 2024.[7]
