Kandis (캔디스) is a four-member girl group under SXTYDGRS. Originally as a duo, they made their debut on August 27, 2023 with the single album "BF".
History[]
2022: Pre-debut[]
On December 31, 2021, brand new agency 60DGRS revealed the upcoming debut of their first girl group, Kandis, through their Instagram account and soon opened SNS accounts for the group.[1]
On January 1, 2022, Kandis revealed Hello as the first member of their girl group through a song cover video released on their YouTube.[2] The second member, Nine, was later revealed on January 8 through a teaser photo.[3] They also posted her covering Christina Aguilera’s “Por Siempre Tú”.[4] The third and final member, Seoul, was revealed on January 25.[5]
On March 14, 2022, Kandis released their first pre-debut mixtape, Show Me Your Vibe.[6]
Since May 2023, fans believe that Seoul is no longer seen in the group's activities and all the posts about her on Instagram have been deleted.[7]
2023: Debut with "BF", "Weed Out", addition of Venny, and "Snowflake"[]
On August 19, 2023, the group revealed that they will make their debut on August 27 with the first single album "BF".[8]
On October 10, the group announced that they would be making their first comeback on October 23 with the second single album "Weed Out", and Venny will be joining the group as a new member.[9][10]
On November 30, Kandis announced that they will be releasing their third single album "Snowflake" on December 4.[11]
2024: Addition of Looky, fandom name, Playground[]
On January 30, 2024, the group began teasing the addition of a fourth member.[12]
On August 22, Looky was revealed as the fourth and final member of Kandis. At the same time, the group unveiled their official fandom name to be "Gummis" and announced that they will release their first full-length album, Playground, in the fall of 2024.[13]
