Kamikura Rei (Korean: 카미쿠라 레이; Japanese: 神藏 令) is a Japanese-Chinese trainee under Avex Management.

She is best known for being a contestant on the South Korean reality survival show, Girls Planet 999 and the Thai reality survival show, Chuang Asia Thailand. She is also a former pre-debut member of XG.

Career[]

2017-2021: Training with XG[]

From 2017 to 2021 she was trainee under XGALX with XG, but did not end up making the debut line-up.[2]

2021: Girls Planet 999[]

On July 7, 2021, Rei was confirmed as a contestant on Mnet's newest reality show, Girls Planet 999, along with the other participating trainees, through the prologue trailer.[3] Her official profile was released on July 19.[4][5] In the fifth episode, which was aired on September 3, it was revealed that Rei, along with her cellmates, was unfortunately eliminated.[6]

2023-2024: Chuang Asia Thailand[]

On December 31, 2023, Rei was confirmed as a contestant on the reality survival show Chuang Asia Thailand during Thai shopping mall Icon Siam's Amazing Thailand Countdown 2024.[7] On March 16, 2024 she was eliminated in episode 7 after ranking 35th place.[8]
