Juri (쥬리), also known by her full name Takahashi Juri (KR: 타카하시 쥬리; JP:高橋 朱里/たかはし じゅり) is a Japanese singer and actress. She is a former member of the girl group Rocket Punch and the Japanese group AKB48.
Career[]
2011–2019: AKB48, Produce 48[]
In 2011, Juri joined AKB48 after passing their 12th Generation auditions. She eventually became the captain of Team B.
In 2018, she participated in Mnet's survival show Produce 48. She was eliminated in the finale after ranking 16th place.[1]
2019–2024: Departure from AKB48, new agency, Rocket Punch[]
On March 4, Juri announced during her birthday event that she would be graduating from AKB48 and would be pursuing a career in Korea after signing with Woollim Entertainment. Woollim confirmed the news that same day, stating that she will debut in the agency's upcoming girl group.[2]
On July 22, the agency released a concept film showing the six members of their new girl group, Rocket Punch, for the first time, with Juri being one of them.[3] On July 29, her individual concept film was released.[4] The group's debut mini album, Pink Punch, was released on August 7, 2019.
On May 24, 2024, Woollim Entertainment announced that Juri had terminated her exclusive contract and had left Rocket Punch.[5]
