Jung Ah (정아; also spelled as Jung A and Jung-a) is a South Korean singer. She is a former member of the girl groups KISFive, After School and its their sub-unit A.S. RED. She was also a pre-debut member of the girl group SZ.

Career[]

2000: SZ[]

In 2000 she was introduced as a new member of the girl group SZ. Unfortunately the group disbanded the same year, before she could make her debut with the group.

2005: KISFive[]

On February 1, 2005 she debuted as a member of the girl group KISFive, with the release of their debut single album "First Kiss". The group disbanded later the same year.

2009–2016: After School[]

She debuted as a member of After School in the group's original lineup, with their first single album "New Schoolgirl".

On July 20, 2011, she debuted as a member of the sub-unit A.S. RED with the single "The 4th Single Album - Red".

Following Kahi's graduation on June 17, 2012, Jung Ah was appointed as After School's new leader.[1]

On January 28, 2016, Pledis Entertainment announced Jung Ah's graduation from After School following seven years of activities.[2] She, along with Juyeon, were the only members to participate in all of After School's activities.

On April 28, 2018, Jung Ah married professional basketball player Jung Changyoung.[3] In April 2019, she announced via Instagram that she was expecting her first child.[4] On October 12, 2019, she gave birth to her first child, son Jung Juhoon.[5] On October 18, 2021, she gave birth to her second child, daughter Jung Chaeyi.[6]
