Joy (조이) is a South Korean singer and actress under SM Entertainment. She is a member of the girl group Red Velvet.

2014: Debut with Red Velvet

She debuted as a member of Red Velvet on August 1, 2014 with the group's first digital single "Happiness".

2017: Acting debut

She made her acting debut in 2017 through the tvN drama The Liar and His Lover.

  • Joy has had various nicknames including: Doongdoongie, Malgeumie, Cute Joy, Miss Korea, and Sexy Dynamite.[1]
  • After receiving praise for performing a cover of the Korean rock band Cherry Filter’s song "Flying Duck", Joy was influenced to become a singer.[2]
