Joung Min (Korean: 정민; Chinese: 鄭旻; Japanese: チョン・ミン) is a South Korean trainee. She is a former member of the trainee teams Bebez and Polaris Junior.

She is best known for participating in Mnet's reality survival show Girls Planet 999.

Career[]

2021–2023: Girls Planet 999, Bebez[]

On July 7, 2021, Joung Min was confirmed as a contestant on Mnet's newest reality show, Girls Planet 999, along with the other participating trainees, through the prologue trailer.[1] Her official profile was released on July 17.[2][3] The show began airing on August 6 and is currently ongoing. In the fifth episode, which was aired on September 3, it was revealed that Joung Min, along with her cellmates, was unfortunately eliminated and ranked K30.[4]

Later, on October 5, 2021, BlockBerryCreative opened an Instagram account for their trainee group, Bebez, and revealed Joung Min along with Choi Yeyoung and Ryu Sion as members. The trainee group was originally supposed to debut in 2023. However, in November 2022, as news of internal issues and a lawsuit within BlockBerryCreative over contract disputes citing lack of payment with LOONA became public, the agency had stopped updating Bebez's SNS accounts, with the exception of a new year's greeting post featuring Yeyoung and Sion only, subtly confirming that Joung Min had departed from the group lineup and agency as she had not been seen with Bebez since September when her last post was uploaded.[5]

Her departure from the group and the agency would only be formally confirmed on April 10, 2023, following the creation of her public Instagram account.[6]
