Joohyun (주현), formerly known as Ellie (엘리) and Sora (소라), is an independent South Korean singer-songwriter. She is a former member of the girl groups Angel Rus and A-DEAN which she used the stage names Ellie and Sora respectively.
She made her solo debut on March 10, 2023 with the digital single "The Ocean".
Career[]
2019-2021: A-DEAN, YouTuber[]
On March 8, 2019, she joined the girl group A-DEAN as a new member under the stage name Sora. She left the group on July 17, 2019 shortly before their disbandment without participating in any music release.
In 2020, she opened a YouTube channel and started using the nickname Jjugi online.
2022: Angel Rus[]
On March 22, 2022, she was revealed as the second member of upcoming girl group Angel Rus under the new stage name Ellie.[1]
On June 20, 2022, LPA Entertainment announced that Ellie has been removed from the group due to personal circumstances.[2]
2023: Solo debut[]
On March 10, 2023, she made her solo debut with the digital single "The Ocean" using her real name Joohyun.[3]
