Joo E (주이) is a South Korean singer under MLD Entertainment. She is a lead dancer, lead vocalist, and face of the girl group MOMOLAND.
Career
2017–present: Viral success
Clips of her enthusiastically dancing to the group's song "Wonderful Love (EDM Ver.)" went viral led to a commercial deal with Tropicana. When her appearance in Tropicana company’s commercial became so popular, she got known as ‘Tropicana girl’.[1]
Joo E's landed another colorful commercial deal with Friends Marble a mobile game, where she sings along to a cute synth-pop song while showing off her now signature dance moves.[2] She has been chosen as model of a makeup brand baker 7, also starred with Seo Jang-hoon in Gorunsan advertisement.[3]
Because of her fun personality, every TV program’s guest as well as the hosts are usually seen full of laughter and joy due to her presence, it attracts known brands to cast her as an endorser and earned the position of 'Face of the group'.
Personal life
She was born in Bucheon, South Korea. She has an older brother named Lee Min-jae.[4]
Education
She graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School, majored in Practical Music Department in February 2018.[5]
Cosmetic surgery
She confirmed that she had done rhinoplasty in high school prior to joining Duble Kick Entertainment, and then a month afterwards Finding Momoland began.[6]
