JooE (주이) is a South Korean singer and rapper under Oneul Entertainment[2] and JooJoo Enter.[3] She is a member of the girl group MOMOLAND.
Career[]
2016: Finding Momoland and debut with MOMOLAND[]
In 2016, she became a contestant on Mnet's reality survival show Finding Momoland. She finished the competition in fifth place, thus becoming a member of the girl group MOMOLAND.[4] The group officially debuted on November 10, 2016 with their first mini album Welcome to Momoland.
2017–2018: Viral success[]
In 2017, she became viral on the internet due to her enthusiast dance to the group's song "Wonderful Love (EDM Ver.)", which led her to be invinted to star in Tropicana Sparkling's commercial. After her appearance on the commercial, she became known as "Tropicana girl".[5]
In 2018, JooE's landed another colorful commercial deal with the mobile game Friends Marble, where she sings along to a cute synth-pop song while showing off her now signature dance moves.[6] She also became the new face of the makeup brand Baker 7.[7]
2023: Departure from MLD Entertainment, Queendom Puzzle[]
On January 27, MLD Entertainment announced that MOMOLAND would be leaving the agency after deciding not to renew their contracts.[8]
On April 24, it was reported that JooE would be partaking on the survival show Queendom Puzzle as a contestant.[9] On July 26, it was revealed that JooE was among the first five contestants to be eliminated from the show.[10]
2024: Oneul Entertainment[]
On June 17, 2024, she announced she had joined Oneul Entertainment.[2]

In February 2018, she graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School, where she was a student in the Practical Music Department.[11]
Cosmetic surgery[]
She confirmed that she had done rhinoplasty in high school prior to joining Duble Kick Entertainment, and then a month after Finding Momoland began.[12]
