Jongwoo (Korean: 종우; Japanese: ジョンウ), formerly known as Ze:U (제우), is a South Korean dancer, rapper and lyricist under ARMADA Ent. He is the leader of the boy group ONE PACT and a former member of the boy group Black Level.
He is best known for being a contestant on the reality survival show Boys Planet.
Career[]
2021–2023: Black Level and Boys Planet[]
On September 19, 2021, Jongwoo, then known as Ze:U, was revealed as a member of the upcoming boy group Black Level.[1] They debuted on February 26, 2022 with the mini album New-Start.[2]
On November 29, 2022, VT Entertainment announced that he, along with Uin, Younghoon and Taeyoung have decided to leave the group to pursue their idol dreams seperately.[3]
On December 29, Jongwoo was introduced as a contestant of Boys Planet, which aired on February 2, 2023.[4] He ranked 18th place overall in the finale episode, thus being unable to debut with ZEROBASEONE.[5]
2023: Debut with ONE PACT[]
On September 27, ARMADA Ent announced that they will be debuting their first boy group named ONE PACT in the second half of 2023, with Jongwoo introduced as the first member.[6]
They made their debut on November 30, 2023 with the mini album Moment.
