Jongseob (종섭) is a South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter under FNC Entertainment. He is the maknae of the boy group P1Harmony.
Early life[]
Jongseob was born on November 19, 2005, in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He is the only son of a jazz dancer and a worker of the National Dance Company.[1]
Career[]
2016–2019: K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance & YG Treasure Box[]
From December 2016 to April 2017, Jongseob participated in the competition show K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance and won as part of the duo, Boyfriend, with Park Hyeon Jin. Following the show's conclusion, the duo signed a trainee contract with YG Entertainment.[2] However Hyeon Jin left the agency shortly after due to differences in musical style while Jongseob would continue on as a trainee.[3]
The following year, he joined YG Treasure Box in Group C. However, he was eliminated in Episode 9.
2020–present: Debut with P1Harmony[]
In late August, it was reported that Jongseob would be debuting as a member of FNC Entertainment's upcoming boy group after signing a contract with the agency.[4] On September 4, it was confirmed that Jongseob would be debuting as part of P1Harmony.[5]
