Jongho (종호) is a South Korean singer under KQ Entertainment. He is the maknae of the boy group ATEEZ and a member of the project group SHAX under the name Hyuk (혁).
Career[]
2017: MIXNINE[]
In 2017, he became a contestant on JTBC's reality survival show MIXNINE. He was eliminated in the episode 10 after ranking 43rd place.[2]
2018: Debut with ATEEZ[]
On October 24, Jongho debuted as a member of KQ Entertainment's first boy group, ATEEZ, with the release of the mini album Treasure EP.1 : All To Zero.
2020-2021: Television drama Imitation[]
On October 16, 2020, KBS’s upcoming variety drama Imitation announced its star cast of idol actors. Jongho played Hyuk, the youngest member of the group SHAX. [3] The first episode aired on May 7, 2021 while the 12th and final episode aired on July 23, 2021.
2023: Hiatus and return[]
On August 20, KQ Entertainment announced that Jongho had returned to Korea due to experiencing "extreme pain" on his leg.[4] On August 26, KQ Entertainment released an additional statement announcing that Jongho underwent surgery to receive intensive management for his existing injury. He would also be temporarily taking a break from all group and individual activities until further notice in order to focus on his rehabilitation post-surgery.[5]
Coinciding his birthday on October 12, KQ Entertainment announced that Jongho would be returning from his hiatus and that he will "avoid intense choreography" and perform on stage while sitting or standing.[6]
