Jihyo (Korean: 지효; Japanese: ジヒョ) is a South Korean singer under JYP Entertainment. She is the leader and main vocalist of the girl group TWICE.

On August 5, 2019, local news source Dispatch reported that she and Kang Daniel (former Wanna One member) were dating and it was confirmed by both agencies later. It was also revealed that 2AM member Seulong was who introduced her and Daniel to each other.[1][2]

On May 5, 2015, she became a contestant on JYP's newest survival show, SIXTEEN. She finished the survival in 8th place, hence becoming a member of the girl group TWICE.[3] They officially debuted on October 20, 2015 with their first mini album, The Story Begins.

Trivia
- She became a JYP trainee when she was 8 years old (third grade) after she won 2nd place in a contest on Junior Naver for a child role.
- She trained the longest out of the Twice members. She trained for 10 years.[4]
- She was voted leader by the members by anonymous voting and not JYP himself.
- Although Jihyo is left-handed, she writes and draws with her right hand. She is ambidextrous.
- Jihyo has been a trainee under JYP for over 10 years, but she was initially trained as an actress, just like Dahyun.
- Jihyo was originally set to debut in the girl group 6mix.
- She legally changed her name from "Jisoo" to "Jihyo" before competing on SIXTEEN.
- Jihyo likes taking public transport because her home is close to Nayeon's and they often took the bus to work when they were trainees.
- She is close to Miss A's Suzy, Wonder Girls' Sunmi, 2AM's Jokwon and most artists in JYPE.
- She's been friends with Nayeon and Jeongyeon for 6 years.
- Jihyo and Tzuyu are really close, so close even that they would shower together when Tzuyu came over.
- Jihyo has a pineapple allergy. Her throat gets itchy if she eats it.
