Jihyo (Korean: 지효; Japanese: ジヒョ) is a South Korean singer under JYP Entertainment. She is the leader and main vocalist of the girl group TWICE.

Career

2015: SIXTEEN, TWICE

On May 5, 2015, she became a contestant on JYP's newest survival show, SIXTEEN. She finished the survival in 8th place, hence becoming a member of the girl group TWICE.[1] They officially debuted on October 20, 2015 with their first mini album, The Story Begins.

On August 5, 2019, local news source Dispatch reported that she and Kang Daniel (former Wanna One member) were dating and it was confirmed by both agencies later. It was also revealed that 2AM member Seulong was who introduced her and Daniel to each other.[2][3]
