Jiae (지애) is an independent South Korean singer-songwriter under ZEZE Entertainment (her self-distribution label). She is a former member of the girl group Wassup.

She made her solo debut on October 8, 2022 with the full-length album Love is Love.

Career[]

2013–2019: Wassup, The Unit[]

Jiae debuted as the main vocalist of the girl group Wassup on August 8, 2013 with the group's self-titled digital single.

On February 10, 2019, she announced via Instagram that Wassup had disbanded after six years of activities.[1]

2022: Solo debut with Love is Love[]

On February 11, 2022, Jiae announced that that she will be opening a Makestar funding project to fund her debut solo album.[2]

She debuted with her solo full-length album Love is Love on October 8.[3] Jiae also works closely with producer UrbanHz with the Future Idol, a project that gives hopeful trainees early music experience, she regularly writes, composes and provides background vocals for many of the girl group releases.[4][5]

On January 11, 2020, Jiae uploaded two photos on her Instagram story coming out as bisexual.[6] It was also revealed that she is currently in a relationship with a girl.[6]
