JiU (지유) is a South Korean singer under Dreamcatcher Company. She is the leader of the girl group Dreamcatcher and a former member of the girl group MINX.
Career
2014–2016: MINX
On September 18, 2014, she debuted as a member of MINX, with the group's first single "Why Did You Come To My Home?".
On November 29, 2016, Happyface Entertainment announced that MINX would re-debut with a new name and the addition of two new members.
2017: Dreamcatcher, MIXNINE
On January 13, 2017, the reformulation of the group, known now as Dreamcatcher, made it's official debut with the release of the single "Nightmare".
In October 2017, she, alongside fellow members Siyeon, Yoohyeon, and Dami, became contestants on the survival show MIXNINE. However, on December 10, 2017, it was announced that all four members would leave the show.[1]
