Jeno (Korean: 제노; Japanese: ジェノ) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and rapper under SM Entertainment. He is a member of the boy group NCT and its sub-units NCT DREAM and NCT U.
Career[]
Pre-debut[]
In 2013, he was cast into SM Entertainment.[1] In December 2013, he was introduced as a member of the pre-debut trainee team SMROOKIES.[2]
In 2014, he appeared on Exo 90:2014, a reality TV show starring EXO, alongside other members of the SMROOKIES, where they performed songs from the 1990s.[3]
In 2015, he appeared on Disney Channel Korea's The Mickey Mouse Club as a Mouseketeer alongside other members of the SMROOKIES program, some of which are currently in NCT Dream. The show aired from July 23 to December 17, 2015, and was hosted by Leeteuk of SUPER JUNIOR.[4]
2016–2019: Debut with NCT and MC[]
On August 25, 2016, he officially debuted as a member of the 3rd unit NCT DREAM, with the single "Chewing Gum".
On March 14, 2018, NCT released their first full album as part of a large-scale project uniting all of its subgroups - NCT 2018 Empathy.
On May 22, Jeno appeared as an MC for The Show, alongside Yeeun and Jin Longguo.[5]
On November 26, 2019, Jeno and Yeeun appeared in their final The Show episode as MCs.[6]
2020: NCT U[]
On October 12, he made his official debut under the sub-unit NCT U, as a part of the NCT's 2020 project NCT Resonance Pt. 1, with the song "Misfit".
