Jay Chang (제이창) is an American singer and lyricist under FM Entertainment. He is a member of the boy group ONE PACT and the project group B.D.U, and a pre-debut member of M.O.N.T Arena.

He made his solo debut on October 17, 2023, with the mini album Late Night.

He is best known for participating in the reality survival shows Under Nineteen, Boys Planet and Build Up : Vocal Boy Group Survivor.

Career

2018: Under Nineteen

On October 25, 2018, Jay Chang was introduced as a contestant of Under Nineteen with his moving poster. The poster revealed that he was a part of the vocal team.[2] Unfortunately, in the sixth episode, which was aired on December 8, Jay was eliminated during the first round of eliminations and ranked 18th out of 19th place in the vocal team.[3]

2022: M.O.N.T Arena

In September 2022, Jay Chang was then revealed as the second member of M.O.N.T Arena.

2023: Boys Planet, solo debut with Late Night, debut with ONEPACT

On December 29, 2022, he was revealed as a contestant on the survival show Boys Planet, which premiered on February 2, 2023. He ranked 10th place overall in the finale episode, nearly debuting with the 9 member boy group ZEROBASEONE.[4]

On September 18, 2023, FM Entertainment announced that Jay Cahng will be making his official solo debut in October.[5] On September 31, FM Entertainment announced Jay Chan's debut mini album, Late Night, set to be released on October 17.[6]

On October 18, he was introduced as the fifth member of ARMADA Ent upcoming boy group, ONE PACT.[7] They debuted on November 30 with the mini album Moment.

2024: Build Up, debut with B.D.U

In January 2024, Jay Chang was revealed as a contestant on Mnet's reality survival show Build Up : Vocal Boy Group Survivor.[8] The show aired from January 26 to March 29 where it was revealed that Jay Chang would be debuting in the resulted boy group B.D.U.[9] They made their debut on June 26, 2024 with their first mini album Wishpool.
