JYJ was a male duo under C-JeS Entertainment. Originally a three-member group consisting of former TVXQ! members Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun, they debuted in Japan on September 8, 2010 with the mini album The... before subsequently releasing their international debut album The Beginning a month later, and their Korean debut album In Heaven on September 28, 2011.
On April 24, 2019, C-JeS announced that they had terminated Yoochun's contract following his drug use scandal and his announcement that he will retire from the entertainment industry.[1]
JYJ's profile on C-JeS's website was removed[2] but their various SNS accounts remained active on promoting the two remaining members until mid-2023, hinting at the group's silent disbandment. Jaejoong and Junsu later became active as JX.
