He is also known for being a contestant on the reality survival show Universe League.

Career

2021–2023: SB Talent Camp

On September 26, 2021, JL was introduced as the thirteenth member and trainee of ShowBT Entertainment's trainee group, SB Talent Camp, under the name "J13"

In February 2023, he officially graduated from the trainee group and announced that he will debut under SBTown.

2023: Debut with PLUUS

On February 8, 2023, JL was revealed as an official member of SBTown's first boy group, PLUUS. The group was officially debuted on March 31, 2023 with their first debut mini album, +.Y.M..

2024–2025: Universe League, debut with AHOF

On October 15, 2024, he was officially introduced as a contestant of Universe League. During the show's finale, he was revealed to have ranked 1st overall—with a total of 3,168,841 votes—thus making him a member of AHOF.

He made his debut as a member of AHOF on July 1, 2025 with the mini album Who We Are.
