jANE (Korean: 재인; Japanese: ジェイン; also stylized as Jane), is an independent South Korean singer-songwriter and rapper. She is a former member of girl groups Real Girls Project and The Ark.

She made her solo debut on April 18, 2022 with the digital single "Trying to Do What I Can Do".

She is also known for being a contestant on The Voice Kids Korea.

Career[]

2013: The Voice Kids Korea[]

In 2013, she participated in the singing competition show The Voice Kids Korea, where she reached the Top 27 before getting eliminated.[1]

2015–2018: The Ark, Real Girls Project[]

On April 10, 2015, she made her debut as a member of The Ark with their debut digital single "Somebody 4 Life".

In March 2016, The Ark was removed from Music K Entertainment's artist page on their website, suggesting that the girl group had presumably disbanded.[2] Their disbandment was later confirmed by Yuna.[3]

In April 2016, she auditioned to become a member of THE IDOLM@STER.KR's girl group Real Girls Project. She later made her debut in the group with their first digital single "Dream" on August 25.

In 2018, Real Girls Project presumably disbanded due to inactivity.

2018: Pink Fong[]

In 2018, she worked as a host on the YouTube channel Pink Fong.[4]

2022: Solo debut with "Trying to Do What I Can Do"[]

On April 18, 2022, she made her solo debut with the digital single "Trying to Do What I Can Do", under the stage name jANE.

Jane is a graduate of Chungdam High School and Hanlim Multi Art School, where she was a student in the Applied Music Department. She is currently a student at Dongduk Women's University.[citation needed]
