"It Rains" (비가 온다) is the debut digital single by Kang Seung Yoon. It was released on July 16, 2013 at 12PM KST.[1]
Background[]
On July 15, 2013, YG Entertainment revealed through the YG Life blog that the release of Seung Yoon's debut single "Wild And Young" scheduled for that day, would be postponed to the end of the month and instead a song titled "It Rains" will be released the following day.[2] Both songs will also be included on his debut mini album, scheduled for a September release.[2]
In the afternoon of the same day, a teaser photo was released, confirming the release date for July 16, 2013.[3] Singer Yoon Jong Shin, who was a judge on Superstar K2, released a statement via his Twitter account wishing Seung Yoon a successful debut.[4]
On release day, YG Entertainment revealed a live countdown marking the release of the single for 12PM KST. The song is expected to have a rock feel with lyrics that fit the rainy season.[5]
Reception[]
The single debuted on number one various Korean streaming sites winning over "Desitiny" by INFINITE which was released at the same time. A day later, it was reported that the song topped nine domestic music charts, receiving an "all-kill".[6]
It sold 561,252 downloads according to the Gaon Music Chart.[7][8]
