ifeye (이프아이) is a six-member girl group under Hi-Hat Entertainment. They made their debut on April 8, 2025 with the digital EP Erlu Blue.
The group name is an abbreviation for "imagine & find energetic young eyes" which means a vision that turns imagination into reality.[1]
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On March 24, 2022, it was revealed that Hi-Hat Entertainment had plans to debut two new groups: a boy group in 2023 and a girl group in 2024.[2] However, no further news ever came regarding the boy group.
On March 1, 2024, a dance cover by a female trainee known as 'Trainee S# R' was released across the agency's social medias.[3] Five days later, a vocal cover performed by the same trainee was released.[4] From March 8 to May 9, eight more trainees were revealed, beginning with 'Trainee S# S', followed by 'Trainee S# T', 'Trainee S# U', 'Trainee S# V', 'Trainee S# W', 'Trainee S# X', 'Trainee S# Y' , and 'Trainee S# Z' respectively.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11]
On May 6, 2024, in an interview with Naver, Hi-Hat Entertainment co-founder and choreographer RYU D revealed that with the member lineup set, the girl group will make their debut sometime in early 2025.[12]
On September 4, it was revealed that the group's debuting lineup would consist of seven members, however, it was not revealed which of the nine possible trainees had made it into the group.[13] Moreover, Hi-Hat Entertainment's CEO RYU D announced that the identities of the members would be revealed sometime in September.
On October 16, Lee Gayeon was revealed as the group's first member,[14] followed by Kim Rahee on October 23,[15] Won Hwayeon on October 30,[16] Lee Chaewon on November 6,[17] Jeong Seoyul on November 13[18], and Choi Jiwoo on November 20.[19]
On February 24, 2025, Hi-Hat Entertainment released a logo motion for the group revealing the group's name as ifeye. Their official SNS accounts opened on the same day.[20]
2025: Debut with Erlu Blue[]
On February 25, 2025, Hi-Hat Entertainment producer Kyu C. Lee revealed on his Instagram page that ifeye will make their debut in April 2025.[21] A day later, it was officially announced that the group will make their debut on April 8, 2025.[22] On March 3, it was announced that ifeye will be debuting with the digital EP Erlu Blue.[23]
