I.MET.U (아이멧유) is an upcoming four-member global girl group under PI Corporation. Formed through the reality survival show Time Turner, they will make their debut sometime in 2025.

Their group name is derived from the survival show title: time turner. It means the members and fans meet each other with the intention of creating special moments together, just like fate.[1]

History[]

Pre-debut: Time Turner, 2024 TikTok Live Fest, Lu Yuting's departure[]

On August 28, 2024, PI Corporation announced their new girl-group survival show project Time Turner, in collaboration with Makestar, which would air live on TikTok. It is the platform’s first ever real-time survival show. It was later confirmed to be airing on November 8, with the finale on November 22.

On November 22, the five members of the debut team were announced. Kelly Kim was revealed as the first member as she ranked first overall, followed by Sim Yerin, Lu Yuting, Cleo and Lea Navvab respectively.

On December 9, member Sim Yerin revealed the group name to be I.MET.U through a TikTok live.[2] It was confirmed a day later by fellow member Kelly Kim.[3]

On December 27, they appeared as a group for the first time on TikTok Live Fest: 2024 SHOUT-OUT Festival, performing their version of the Time Turner signal song "Find Me Now".[4][5]

On January 10, 2025, it was reported that I.MET.U will debut this year but the exact date is still unknown.[6]

On January 17, Lu Yuting announced her departure from I.MET.U prior to debut after coming to a mutual agreement with PI Corporation to step down from the group to pursue her other dreams.[7][8]

  • Lea Navvab is a former VIVA member. She had also made a solo debut in 2022 as J’Lea.
  • Sim Yerin is a former Hi-L member, holding the responsibility of the leader.
  • Pre-debut member Lu Yuting is a former Chuang Asia Thailand contestant. She had also made a solo debut in 2022.
  • Prior to debut, I.MET.U hosted a flea market and attended the 25F/W Seoul Fashion Week.[10][11]

  1. Kelly and Lea go by "Yoobin Kelly" and "Jung Lea" in Korean, meanwhile in English, they go by "Kelly Kim" and "Lea Navvab".
