I've IVE (also stylized in all-caps) is the first full-length album by IVE. It was released on April 10, 2023 with "I Am" serving as the album's title track.

Member Rei was absent from the album's promotions due to taking a hiatus from activities for health-related concerns.

The physical album is available in eleven versions: three photobook versions, six member-specific jewel cases, special version and Vinyl LP.

"Kitsch" was pre-released on March 27, 2023.

Background

On February 17, Xports News reported that IVE will be releasing an album in April. Hours later, Starship Entertainment confirmed the reports and added that IVE will be making a comeback with their first full-length album in early April.

On March 16, 2023, a teaser posted across IVE's social medias announced the group will be having a comeback on April 10 with their first full-length album, titled I’ve IVE.

On March 22, Starship announced that the album will not be available on retail website Synnara Records, following reports of the company being one of the main source of income for the controversial cult Aga Dongsan, whose leader Kim Ki Soon is also Synnara chairman.

Composition

"Blue Blood" is described as a pop genre song. The track has a unique theme with a dark and intense beat. A punchy bass line starts and builds up along with cinematic sounds, marching drums, synthesizers, and vocals. The unique appearance of IVE is felt throughout the song.

"I Am" is a song that talks about having the independent attitude towards life. It's a stylish track that has a strong message where you discover yourself as a different person from yesterday. IVE's explosive vocals are felt on top of a unique and addictive synthesizer sound. The unique and colorful charm of the members vocals maximizes the song and are shown from the combination of the drum beats, bass

"Kitsch" makes the listeners feel the elegant beauty and the twist charm of a different IVE. The song is a fun song to listen to because of the colorful instruments that are based on the baselines and intense beats. The hook is inverted and repeated. Different kind of bouncy sounds are combined to help deliver a thrilling pleasure. The track shows the unpredictable variety of charms of IVE.

"Lips" is a song that features a combination of a simple melody with popping instrumental elements which helps give the it a new feeling. IVE's vocals mixed together with an addictive and rhythmical chorus is captivating.

"Heroine" is described as a medium tempo song. The unique hook along with a low base and the group's vocal tones help create a mysterious atmosphere. Member An Yujin wrote the lyrics of the song and increased the charm of the song with meaning behind of song, "I will live a wonderful life thinking that I am the main character of my life like the main character in the movie overcoming various trials.

"Mine" has a unique and minimal flap sound in the beginning of the song. The instrumental of the track along with the vocal harmony is noticeable. Member Jang Wonyoung wrote the lyrics to the song. The lyrics talk about the attitude of a girl who has a confident and bold charm and them falling in love.

The intro of "Hypnosis" features an unique sound that catches the listeners' ears at the beginning of the song. There is also a combination of a thrilling guitar sound with an attack piano. The lyrics talk about the moment of falling love with the unique word "sumjit".

"Not Your Girl" is an addictive band sound-based song. The track has a repetitive electric guitar riffs and chorus. The group's charm stands out in the song.

"Next Page" features a harmonization between the vocal harmony and the synthesizer sound. What leads the song is the heavy bass tones and the sophisticated rhythms. The attractive tone and rap from the members of IVE were added to catch the attention of the listeners' ears.

"Cherish" has both an addictive intro and chorus. The completeness of the song is increased by the variation and ad-libs in the chorus and harmonies in the bride. The track captures an honest expression of love in the group's own language.

The "Shine With Me" song stands out because of the orchestra which helps the listener feel the delicate and emotional harmony of IVE's vocals. The dramatic drums and sensuous string sounds help maximize the songs mood. Member Jang Wonyoung wrote the lyrics to the song and portrayed IVE's heart and love for their fandom, DIVE.

Release

On April 11, Starship Entertainment released a statement stating that Rei will be taking a break from schedules due to health reasons related to abnormal symptoms such as heart palpitations and stuffiness. She will not be promoting the album along with the other members for the time being.

Promotions

IVE performed "I Am" for the first time at M Countdown on April 13.

Critical reception

I've IVE made it to NME's "The Best Albums of 2023… So Far" mid-year list.

I've IVE was ranked #25 on Billboard's top 25 K-pop album of 2023.

Commercial performance

On April 11, Hanteo reported that I've IVE sold 601,689 copies on its first day of release. On April 16, Hanteo reported the album sold 1,102,107 copies in its first week of release which makes it the third album by a girl group to surpass 1 million copies sold.

On April 20, Circle Chart reported that I've IVE sold 1,385,998 copies during the week of April 9 to April 15. The album debuted at #1 on the weekly chart.

On April 23, "I Am" received it's first perfect all kill.

On June 8, 2023, I've IVE received a million certification for surpassing 1 million copies sold on Circle Chart.
