Hyojin (효진) is a South Korean singer and lyricist under WM Entertainment. He is a member of the boy group ONF and its ON team subunit.
Career[]
Pre-debut[]
Prior to debut, he, alongside members E-Tion, J-Us and Wyatt appeared in the drama Loss:Time:Life.
2017: MIXNINE[]
In October 2017, he joined the survival reality show MIXNINE as a contestant and representative of his agency and boy group ONF. Hyojin ranked 2nd place and made it into the final group, however after much discussion it was decided the MIXNINE group would not debut.
2023: "Love Things"[]
On February 6, 2023, it was announced that he would be releasing a Valentine's Day special single "Love Things" on February 14.[2]
Personal life[]
Military service[]
On November 2, 2021, Hyojin announced that he, alongside the other members of ONF, except U, will be enlisting in December.[3] On December 28, Hyojin enlisted as an active duty soldier.[4][5] He, along with E-Tion, was officially discharged on June 27, 2023.[6]
Father's death[]
On April 6, 2023, WM Entertainment announced that Hyojin's father recently passed away and that he left his military unit in order to attend the wake.[7]
