HyeJu (혜주; formerly known as Olivia Hye) is a South Korean singer, rapper and dancer. She is a member of the girl groups Loossemble, LOONA and the maknae of its third sub-unit yyxy.

Career[]

2018: Reveal, solo debut, yyxy, LOONA[]

On March 17, 2018, she was revealed as the 12th and final member of LOONA.[2] Her solo single album, titled "Olivia Hye", was released subsequently on March 30, 2018.

She debuted as a member of LOONA's third sub-unit, yyxy, on May 30, 2018 with the mini album Beauty & The Beat alongside Yves, Chuu, and Go won.

On August 20, 2018, LOONA debuted as a full 12-member group with their first mini album + + that featured title track "Hi High" and several other B-side tracks.

2022–2023: "I'll Be Your Spring", lawsuits against BlockBerryCreative, signing with CTDENM, Loossemble[]

On February 25, 2022, it was announced that she would release a remake of Airman's "I'll Be Your Spring" on March 1.[3]

In an article published by JTBC on November 28, it was revealed that she and all LOONA members except HyunJin and ViVi have reportedly filed a lawsuit to suspend their contracts with BlockBerryCreative due to their trust in the company being damaged. BlockBerryCreative denies all claims.[4] On January 13, 2023, it was revealed that she, along with Yves, HaSeul, Go Won, and YeoJin lost the trial against BlockBerryCreative for terminating their exclusive contracts.[5]

On June 16, 2023, The Seoul High Court's 5th Civil Cases Division ruled in favor of her, along with Yves, HaSeul, Go Won and YeoJin, to suspend their exclusive contracts with BlockBerryCreative.[6]

On July 5, 2023, it was reported that she, alongside Go Won and YeoJin, had signed exclusive contracts with the new agency CTDENM. She would therefore be promoting under her birth name HyeJu.[7]

On August 2, 2023, she was revealed as a member of the girl group Loossemble. They debuted on September 15, 2023 with the mini album Loossemble.

2024: Departure from CTDENM[]

On November 29, 2024, CTDENM announced that its exclusive contract with the Loossemble members had ended.[8]

On February 28, 2022, BlockBerryCreative announced that fellow members YeoJin, HaSeul, and ViVi had tested positive for COVID-19. BlockBerry stated that other members, not named, had tested positive on the self home kit and that they that they are waiting for the PCR test to confirm. As a result, LOONA will not be participating in the first round of Queendom 2.[9] On the next day, BlockBerry announced that the PCR tests came back and Olivia Hye along with seven other members had tested positive for COVID-19.[10]
