Hoya (호야; also known as Lee Ho Won) is a South Korean singer and rapper under RISE Entertainment. He is a member of the dance crew Mbtious and a former member of the boy group INFINITE and its subunit INFINITE H.
He made his debut as a soloist on March 28, 2018 with the mini album Shower.
Career[]
2010-2017: INFINITE, INFINITE H, new agency[]
He debuted as a member of INFINITE on June 9, 2010 with the mini album First Invasion.
In 2013, he, along with fellow groupmate Dong Woo, debuted together as the group's first subunit INFINITE H with the mini album Fly High.
On August 30, 2017, it was announced that he would be leaving both INFINITE and Woollim Entertainment simultaneously after his exclusive 7-year contract with the agency expired on June 9 and he decided not to renew.[2] He then posted a handwritten letter on Instagram following his departure from the group.[3]
On September 26, 2017, Glorious Entertainment announced that Hoya had signed on with the agency.[4]
2018: Solo debut[]
He made his solo debut on March 28, 2018 with the mini album Shower.
2022: Illusion Entertainment[]
On April 1, 2022, Illusion Entertainment announced that he signed onto the agency for an exclusive contract.[5]
In 2022, he then applied to be apart of the Mbitious crew, which puts together dancers that aren't involved in a crew to be able to participate in Street Man Fighter. He participated in the Mnet reality show, titled Be Mbitious where he then became a final member of the crew.[6]
2023–2024: Agency changes[]
On September 11, 2023, Yellow Flavor announced that Hoya has signed with them.[7]
On May 2, 2024, RISE Entertainment announced that Hoya has signed an exclusive contract with them.[8]

Military service[]
On February 7, 2019, Hoya enlisted in the military as a public service worker, two days after he announced the date he enlisted through a handwritten letter.[9][10] He was officially discharged on December 6, 2020.[11][12]
