Hina (Korean: 히나; Japanese: ひな) is a Japanese[n 1] model under Trapeziste Creative. She was a former trainee of SM Entertainment and was a member of their trainee team SMROOKIES.
She is currently a model going by the name Kohno Hina (Korean: 코노 히나; Japanese: 向野 日南).[1]
Career[]
2015–2020: SMROOKIES[]
Sometime in 2014, Hina became an SM Entertainment trainee. Though, before her introduction to the public as the agency's trainee, she made a brief music video appearance in Red Velvet's "Happiness". In October 2014, she sang S.E.S's "I'm Your Girl" alongside other SMROOKIES members for EXO's variety show "EXO 90:2014". She also participated in the SMTOWN Live World Tour IV concert alongside other SMROOKIES members. In June 2015, she & SMROOKIES made an appearance on ABC News in a news segment titled "Korean Pop Idols Rule Asia".[2]
On July 8, 2015, Hina was officially introduced as a members of SMROOKIES, alongside Koeun and Herin.[3]
From 2014 to late 2017, Hina had a few and scattered official activities as a member of SMROOKIES; some include: being cast in Disney Channel Korea's The Mickey Mouse Club as a Mouseketeer, taking part in the live stage event SM Coex Artium where she along with other trainees danced to Girls Generation's song "Gee" on stage, taking part in the agency's, My SMT show's, "Who's the best?" segment, and some other minor roles.
However by 2018, she was no longer active as an SMROOKIES member and it was speculations that she would no longer be debuting as a singer or future girl group member under the agency. On October 16, 2020, it was officially confirmed that she left SM Entertainment after the opening of an Instagram account.[4]
Post K-pop[]
In 2023, through her Instagram account, it was found that Hina returned to Japan after her departure from SM Entertainment and has since decided to pursue a career as a model in Japan under the name Kohno Hina.[5]
