Him Chan (힘찬) is a South Korean former singer. He is a former member of the boy group B.A.P.
He made his solo debut on October 25, 2020 with the digital single "Reason Of My Life".
Career[]
2012–2019: B.A.P[]
He debuted as a member of B.A.P on January 26, 2012 with their first single "Warrior".
On February 17, 2019, TS Entertainment stated that the four remaining members of B.A.P, after the departure of Bang Yong Guk in August 2018, and Zelo in December 2018, have all elected to not renew their contracts with agency.[1]

Sexual assault controversies[]
On September 9, 2018, it was revealed that a B.A.P member was under investigation for sexually harassing a women.[2] TS Entertainment then released a statement revealing that the case will be forwarded to the prosecution and that Him Chan will provide the truth during the investigation.[3]
On October 26, 2020, Him Chan caused an accident while intoxicated with a high blood alcohol concentration. The media reports revealed that the police will be investigating and questioning him further.[4] He then released an apology the same day.[5]
On February 24, 2021, the district court in Seoul came to a conclusion that Him Chan will be sentenced to 10 months of prison and 40 hours in a treatment program for sex offenders.[6] He and the prosecution later file an appeal.[7]
On June 13, he posted an apology later on his Instagram before attempting to take his own life on the same night.[8][9]
His appeal trial (originally to take place at the end of November 2021[10]) was held on April 12, 2022 in Seoul, in which he acknowledged and admitted to all charges.[11]
On April 3, 2023, Himchan received his third sexual assault case. The incidence occured in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, where it was believed Himchan molested a woman who came forward to the police. The police would send Himchan to prosecution for additional charges by the same week.[12]
