Hezz (헤즈), also known by her real name Hong Eui Jin (홍의진) or simply Eui Jin (의진), is a South Korean singer and dancer under Mellow Entertainment. She is a former member of the girl groups SONAMOO and UNI.T.

In 2017, she participated in competition show The Unit. She ended up as the female contestant with the most votes, and debuted as part of the temporary group UNI.T.

She made her solo debut on March 3, 2022 with the digital single "The 8th Spring".

Career[]

2014: Debut with SONAMOO[]

Hong Eui Jin debuted as a member of SONAMOO on December 29, 2014 with the group's first mini album Deja Vu.

2017–2018: The Unit, UNI.T[]

In September 2017, it was announced that Eui Jin would be partaking in the survival show The Unit as a contestant. The first episode aired on October 28.[1]

After finishing first place in The Unit, she debuted as a member of the project girl group UNI.T on May 18, 2018 with the mini album Line.[2] The group disbanded on October 12, 2018.

2021: New agency[]

On September 9, 2021, she signed a contract with Mellow Entertainment, confirming her departure from the group.[3]

2022: Solo debut, new stage name[]

On February 21, 2022, it was announced that she would make her solo debut with the digital single "The 8th Spring" on March 3.[4]

On April 15, she released her second digital single, "I Knew I Love (2022)", a remake of the 2006 song of the same name by Shin Hyo Bum.

On July 14, she announced that she changed her stage name to Hezz, and will release her first single album, "Churup!" on July 26.[5]
