Heo Yu Jeong (허유정; also as Yujeong) is a former South Korean former singer. She is a former member of the girl group Bob Girls.

She is also the founder, CEO and cultural arts planner of Souju Company, as well as a Kpop researcher, specializing in studying the environment for idol trainees.[1]

Career[]

Pre-debut[]

Prior to her debut, she trained at YG Entertainment for their upcoming girl group. However, she later left due to her age.[2]

2014-2016: Bob Girls and signing with GH Entertainment[]

On June 10, 2014, she debuted as a member of the girl group Bob Girls with their first single album "The 1st Single Album". The group was shortlived as they later disbanded on February 24, 2015 due to a member being diagnosed with encephalitis.[3]

On May 8, 2015, it was reported that she had signed with GH Entertainment and would be debuting in their upcoming girl group.[4] However, the group presumably got cancelled predebut and she later departed from the agency in 2016.

Education[]

Following Bob Girls' disbandment, she entered Chung-Ang University's graduate school on her mother's advice and graduated early with a master's degree in cultural arts management as a valedictorian. She later pursued a doctorate and started working as a teaching assistant at the university's medical school.[2]

Trivia[]

  • Her original dream was to be a music teacher. She studied classical music, specifically clarinet.[5]
  • She auditioned for SM Entertainment but failed in the second round. After that, she joined a small agency, before deciding to try out for YG Entertainment.[5]
  • She worked as 143 Entertainment's A&R team leader and was in charge of all trainee-related work, including content production, casting, and schedule management. She later left the agency, citing poor business and management practice.[6]
