Heo Jay (허재이), formerly known as Suyeon (수연) and Chae Eun (채은), is a South Korean singer. She is a former member of the girl groups A.De and TURAN.

Career[]

2013: TURAN[]

On July 10, 2013, she made her debut as a member of TURAN with the release of their first digital single "Shotgun", under the stage name Chae Eun.

In late October 2013, she stopped appearing with the group.[1] The following month, Alyssa confirmed on Weibo that she, along with Ryuji, Hanbi, Sebin and Lee Kyung, had left the group.[2]

2015–2016: Produce 101[]

From December 2015 to early 2016, Suyeon participated in Mnet's survival show Produce 101 as a trainee representing MJ Entertainment. However, she was unfortunately eliminated in the fifth episode after ranking 75th place.

2016–2017: A.De[]

On June 23, 2016, she made her debut as a member of A.De with the single album "Strawberry", under the stage name Suyeon.

In mid 2016, she participated in the collaboration single "Don't Give Up", which was released on August 29, 2016, and featured seven former Produce 101 contestants under the group name 101.[3]

Since November 2017, A.De became inactive and was assumed to have disbanded.

2021: Name change to Heo Jay[]

In May 2021, she announced that she had changed her name to Heo Jay through her Instagram account, as well as opening a Daum Cafe for fans.

On August 11, 2021, she announced the opening of her fashion shopping mall ONOU on Instagram.

On October 15, 2021, she appeared on 6 O'Clock My Hometown and revealed that she has been running a snack shop with her parents in Daejeon and confirmed that there would be a possibility for future music activities.[4] However, as of yet, nothing about any future activities has materialized, while her fancafe has been abandoned since 2021.
