Hanhee (한희) (stylized in lowercase) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and rapper under UniqueTunes Records. She is a former pre-debut member of the girl group WiTCHES and a former member of Deep Studio Entertainment's trainee group YOURS.
She made her solo debut on October 22, 2023, with the digital single "Bad Summer". She re-debuted on January 9, 2025 with the digital single "Mayo!".
Career[]
2020–2021: YOURS[]
In September 2020, Hanhee joined the trainee group YOURS under Deep Studio Entertainment, as evident by changing her Instagram username to include "your" and being followed by the group's official Instagram account. She was confirmed as a trainee when a profile page for her was made on YOURS' website.[1] She was first introduced as a part of YOURS Rookie before getting promoted to an official trainee of YOURS.[2]
On July 19, 2021, she announced her departure from YOURS and Deep Studio Entertainment.[3]
2022–2023: WiTCHES[]
Sometime in early 2022, Hanhee became a trainee at Inmedia, where she will prepare for her debut this year.
On March 11, 2022, she was revealed as one of the members of Inmedia's new girl group WiTCHES under the stage name Aya, following the group's first ever public appearance at Expo 2020 Dubai concert.
As of June 11, 2023, it was assumed that she had left the group due to the removal of her name from the group's Instagram bio.[4]
2023: Solo debut with "Bad Summer"[]
On October 22, 2023, she made her solo debut with the digital single "Bad Summer" under the stage name Hanhee.
2024: VASSMENT's NASA concert, deletion of debut single, "What We Loved", debut album project[]
On July 20, 2024, Hanhee performed at VASSMENT's NASA concert.[5]
Some time in mid-2024, fans have noticed that that "Bad Summer" has been deleted from streaming platforms.
On October 1, she released "What We Loved" as the pre-release for her upcoming debut digital album which would be out on 2025, and serves as its intro song.[6]
On November 21, she announced she will be uploading a daily vlog that shows her preparation for her upcoming debut album project. It was released on November 23.[7] On that video, she revealed her debut album will be released on the first quarter of 2025.[8]
2025: Re-debut with "Mayo!", upcoming releases[]
On December 24, 2024, Hanhee revealed a teaser for her debut single (labeled as a digital album) "Mayo!" which will be released on January 9, 2025.[9]
On January 13, 2025, she announced via Instagram story that she will have her first comeback during the summer of 2025.[10]
On March 8, Spanish singer Lucy Calcines and Hanhee teased a possible collaboration together on Instagram.[11]
On March 11, Hanhee announced she will release her upcoming collaboration and digital single soon.[12] On the same day, she posted hints of her single's tracklist via Instagram stories.[13]
On March 17, she revealed that her song with Lucy Calcines will be released on March 21 through a reply to a fan.[14] The following day, it was announced that Lucy Calcines will be releasing a Korean version of her song "Girly Girl (Korean Ver.)" which would feature Hanhee.[15]
On April 8, she revealed to be planning a comeback in June.[16]
