Hanbyeol (한별), also known as Kim Hanbyul (김한별), is a South Korean singer-songwriter and producer under STAR.
She is best known for participating in the survival shows CAP-TEEN, where she finished in second place, and Girls On Fire.
She made her solo debut on December 3, 2021 with the single "Spotlight".
Career[]
2020–2021: CAP-TEEN, debut with "Spotlight"[]
On September 21, 2020, Hanbyeol was introduced as a contestant on the teen reality survival show CAP-TEEN.[1]
On January 21, 2021, she performed her new song "White Butterfly" in the final round of the show and finished in second place, failing to earn her solo debut through the show.[2][3]
On December 3, 2021, she made her solo debut with her first digital single "Spotlight".
2022–2023: "Whispering", "Double Like", "I Don't Like You (Anymore)", "Love", "Every Time"[]
On March 23, 2022, she made her comeback with her second digital single "Whispering".
On June 1, 2022, she returned with her third digital single "Double Like".
On July 2, 2022, she announced that she was working on a new song.[4] The song was later released on August 10, 2022 as her fourth digital single "I Don't Like You (Anymore)".
On April 19, 2023, she released her fifth digital single "Love".
On December 3, 2023, she released her collaboration digital single "Every Time" with Aaron Nervs.
2024: "Sweet Dreamz", Girls On Fire, "Wish"[]
On January 24, 2024, she released her sixth digital single "Sweet Dreamz".
On March 18, she was revealed as one of the 50 contestants competing on the JTBC survival show Girls On Fire.[5]
During the show, she performed "Lost Child" by Lena Park in the second episode, and "Track 9" by Lee So Ra in the fourth episode with Cho Yein, Lee Nayoung, Son Yeongseo, and nov. On May 14, she finished in the top 32 after being eliminated in the fifth episode during the second round.[6][7][8]
On May 24, she released her seventh digital single "Wish".
