HNB was a pre-debut project boy group under HF Music Company.
Five of the trainees debuted in the boy group, D1CE, on August 1, 2019.
History[]
2017–2018: Pre-debut[]
On June 26, 2017, the group released the special digital single "I'm Your Light", sung by Park Woodam, Woo Jinyoung, Jung Woncheol and Jo Yonggeun, as a thank you gift for fans who supported them during Produce 101.
On May 2, 2018, Happyface Entertainment confirmed that the group's debut had been cancelled due to the inability to reach an agreement on the new terms of the contract. After the cancellation of the debut, they returned to HF as trainees.
On June 14, 2018, the sub unit Woo Jinyoung X Kim Hyunsoo formed by Jin Young and Kim Hyun Soo released the special EP Present as a gift to fans for supporting them on MIXNINE. Woo Jin Young participated writing the rap for the title track "Falling in Love".
On October 11, 2018, Yoon Jaehee terminated his contract with the agency due to rules violation.[1]
On December 2, 2018, HNB released their second special single "You Are So Beautiful" sung by Woo Jinyoung, Park Woodam, and Jung Yoojun.
2019: Final line-up[]
On March 12, 2019, their agency announced the final lineup that will consist of five members: Woo Jin Young, Park Woo Dam, Kim Hyun Soo, Jung Yoo Jun, and Jo Yong Geun.[2] Their group name would decided through a fan vote. On March 27, it was announced that the group will be called D1CE and would debut sometime in the first half of 2019.[3]
