Career[]
2017: Debut with "TangTangTang"[]
In early 2017, TURAN's remaining members: Hyejin, Haesol, Nael, Cherry and Sogeum started promoting as HINT and signed a one-year contract with Thai comapny CRBIZ for promotions in Thailand.[1][2]
On March 31, 2017, HINT officially made their debut with their first digital single "TangTangTang". The lineup then consisted of the TURAN's members and two new members: U and Ar Ra. Their debut single "TangTangTang" was a trot-inspired song that was promoted on music shows and regularly performed for majority of 2017.
2018–2019: Line-up changes, Walkie Talkie, "Pang Pang Pang"[]
On December 17, 2017, U announced her departure from the group.[3] Shortly after this, HINT announced their comeback and introduced a new member, ByeolA.[4]
On January 3, 2018, HINT made their comeback with the mini album Walkie-Talkie. Soon afterwards, they released a remake of their song "Love Beat" and promoted it on music shows as "Pang Pang Pang", their first special single.[5]
In May 2018, HINT crowdfunded their next single album on Makestar.[6] While the project reached 100%, HINT ended up not having a comeback and became inactive. During this time, Sogeum and ByeolA presumably left the group silently.
2020: "Eh-Oh"[]
On October 5, HINT posted a comeback scheduler to their official Instagram account, announcing their first comeback in over two years with "Eh-Oh".[7]
On October 7, HINT promoted "Eh-Oh" pre-release on Pops in Seoul's My Rookie Diaries segment. According to Nael, "Eh-Oh" is a medium-tempo dance song and was also described as a deviation from HINT's usual concept, showing a more mature and sexy side of the members.[8]
On October 14, the group made their comeback with their 2nd digital single "Eh-Oh".
2022: Disbandment[]
On September 27, Cherry announced on Instagram that HINT had disbanded by saying goodbye.[9]
