HI-BOYZ is a seven-member fictional project boy group. They were created for the tvN television drama Resident Playbook.

HI-BOYZ disbanded after releasing a single hit song, with member Um Jae-Il pursuing a career in medicine and is now a first-year Obstretrics and Gynecology resident at the Jongro branch of the Yulje Medical Center.[1]

History[]

On April 21, 2025, it was reported that TXT members Soobin and Yeonjun would be making cameo in tvN's medical drama Resident Playbook as former idol groupmates of Um Jae-Il (Um Jay)'s disbanded group, HI-BOYZ.[2]

On May 10, following the release of the episode featuring cameos from the two TXT members, the performance video for "When the Day Comes" was announced to be unveiled on May 12. Although only Soobin and Yeonjun made cameos, all five members of TXT were featured in the song.[3]

On May 16, it was confirmed that HI-BOYZ would be appearing on Mnet's M Countdown on May 22.[4]
