Gunil (건일) is a South Korean musician under JYP Entertainment. He is the leader and drummer of the boy band Xdinary Heroes.

Career[]

2021: Debut with Xdinary Heroes[]

On November 1, 2021, a teaser was revealed, containing the phrase "Heroes Are Coming" sparking rumors that JYP Entertainment would be debuting a new group soon.[1] On November 20, Gunil was revealed as the band's sixth and last member.[2] On November 27, JYP Entertainment released a performance video of Gunil playing the drums.[3] They then debuted on December 6, 2021 with the digital single "Happy Death Day".

He studied at Berklee College of Music where he was the drummer of their K-pop project band Today's Menu.[citation needed]
