Golden (stylized in all-caps) is the first English full-length album by Jung Kook. It was released on November 3, 2023 with "Standing Next to You" serving as the album's title track.
The physical album comes in five versions: Shine, Solid, Substance, Weverse Albums (QR), and LP.

On October 4, 2023, BigHit Music announced that Jung Kook would release his first English full-length album, Golden, on November 3.[1]
Promotions[]
On November 1, it was announced that Jung Kook will be performing on The Today Show's Citi Concert Series on November 8.[2] Later that day, it was announced that he will be making an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 6.[3]
Commercial performance[]
According to Hanteo Chart, Golden sold 2,147,389 copies on its first day of release, breaking the record for the highest first-week sales of any solo album within one day.[4] It sold 2,438,483 copies in its first week of release.[5]
According to BigHit Music, Golden hit #1 on the iTunes Top Albums charts in 77 regions, while "Standing Next to You" reached #1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in 71 regions. The title track also debuted at #7 on Melon's Top 100 chart before peaking at #4.[6]
Golden earned 39,653,740 filtered streams across all of its tracks on Spotify with all tracks making it to the top 30 of the daily Global Top Songs chart, making the album the biggest debut of any K-pop solo album in Spotify history.[7] On November 7, "Standing Next to You" reached to #1 on the Spotify's daily Global Top Songs chart.[8]
On November 10, Golden debuted at No. 3 on the United Kingdom's Official Album Chart for the week of November 9 to 15, making it the highest-charting album by any Korean solo artist.[9] It spent seven consecutive weeks on the chart,[10] and eight non-consecutive weeks overall.[11] Meanwhile, "Standing Next to You" also spent seven consecutive weeks on the Official Singles Chart,[10] and eight non-consecutive weeks overall.[11]
Golden debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart,[12] and spent 20 consecutive weeks on the chart.[13] It also debuted at #1 on the Top Album Sales chart.[12]
"Standing Next to You" debuted at #1 on the Billboard's Global 200 and the Global Excl. U.S. chart, and #5 on the Hot 100.[14] It also spent five non-consecutive weeks at #1 on the Digital Song Sales chart[15] and 20 weeks on the chart overall.[13]
On December 9, the Recording Industry Association of Japan awarded Golden a platinum certification.[16]
On August 30, 2024, the British Phonographic Industry awarded Golden a silver certification.[17]
On November 27, the Recording Industry Association of Japan awarded "Standing Next to You" a gold certification for surpassing 50 million streams in Japan.[18]
