Go Back To The Future is the fifth full-length album by NCT DREAM. It was released on July 14, 2025 with "BTTF" and "Chiller" serving as the album's double title tracks.

The physical album comes in ten versions: I Am The Future, Ultimate Park, seven individual Digipack versions, and Hoverboard (NFC).

Background[]

On May 2, 2025, NCT DREAM announced their tour The Dream Show 4 : Dream the Future while SM Entertainment confirmed that the group is currently preparing for a new album in July.^[1] On May 7, SM Entertainment shared plans for NCT DREAM's fifth full-length album, coming out in the third quarter of 2025.^[2] On June 23, NCT DREAM announced Go Back To The Future, scheduled for July 14.^[3]

Composition[]

"BTTF" stands for 'Back To The Future' and contains the message that people gain the power and opportunity to change the future while traveling back in time in a time machine, but they also realize the precious past that they have no regrets about by looking back on the path they have walked so far, and return to the strongest and brightest future.

The powerful chanting that shouts 'We are the future' confidently reveals NCT DREAM's confident ambitions. Based on the signature synth bass, it is a hip-hop dance song with an impressive dynamic sound development and section composition that seems to cross the past and future, maximizing the sci-fi mood of the 5th album's time travel theme.^[4]

"Chiller" is described as a song that stands out for its experimental sound that combines various genres with a French touch, and its synth sound with a unique texture and electronic sensibility and unpredictable chord development are impressive.^[5]

"I Like It" is described as a dance-pop song with an impressive electric guitar, and it dynamically depicts the funky charm of NCT DREAM, who jumps into the unknown with another 'me' who unexpectedly meets through a small crack during time travel.^[6]

"Interlude : Back to Our Paradise" is described as an interlude track with a dreamy sound and a rich chorus, and the lyrics tell the story of traveling back in time to old memories to find the person you loved.^[6]
