History[]

Pre-debut[]

On April 7, 2022, Liz Entertainment announced through their social media that they would be holding a "blind" V Live the next day for their upcoming rookie girl group called Girls' World.[1][2]

On April 19, Windy was revealed as the group's first member,[3] followed by A-ra,[4] and Kyrin.[5]

On May 2, it was announced that their debut would be pushed back to June 20 due to issues with unrevealed member Hari's Visa and school.[6] On June 8, member Hari made her first appearance on the group's social media with an introduction video.[7]

2022: Debut with "Rapunzel"[]

On June 20, 2022, the group released their debut digital single "Rapunzel". The release features three members of Girls' World (A-ra, Kyrin and Windy) as well as two ICU members (Chae i and Naye).[8] Hari did not participate in this release due to continued Visa issues.

2023: "Fly High (Thumbelina)", Windy and Kyrin's departure[]

The group was planning to make their first-ever comeback on September 2, 2023, however, on August 19, it was announced that their comeback date was moved to October 2.[9] The title of the single was later revealed to be "Fly High (Thumbelina)".

On October 17, Hari posted a letter saying that she didn’t enjoy promoting with Kyrin & Windy and that she was stressed everyday. The same day, Liz Entertainment announced that Windy and Kyrin had left the group and that two new members would be added.[10]

2024-2025: A-ra's departure, Hari's hiatus, Seolha's addition, disbandment[]

On March 12, 2024, A-ra announced on her Instagram that she had left the group.[11]

On March 13, Liz Entertainment shared that despite friction of members, Girls' World would not disband. However, they would create "Girls' World 2nd Generation" with a new lineup. Meanwhile, Hari was going on a vacation in Japan and A-ra would be going on an indefinite hiatus due to health reasons.[12]

In June, the group started promoting with Windy, Kyrin and a new member, later revealed to be Seolha.[13][14]

On November 14, A-ra announced that she had officially left Girls' World and Liz Entertainment, after winning a legal dispute against the agency to terminate her contract.[15]
