Girls' Generation Asia Tour: Into The New World is the first Asia tour by Girls' Generation. The first show was held on December 19, 2009 at Olympic Fencing Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea.
History[]
On November 11, 2009, SM Entertainment announced Girls' Generation would embark on their first concert tour in cities in Asia.[1] Tickets for the tour went on sale on November 19 and sold out within three minutes.[2]
The tour originally consisted of only two Seoul shows, held on December 19 and 20, 2009. In order to meet fans' requests for additional dates, two "encore" shows were announced in January 2010.[3]
A live album, The 1st Asia Tour Concert "Into the New World", was recorded at the December 19, 2009 concert and released on December 30, 2010.
