Girl2School (걸투스쿨 or 걸2스쿨), also known as G2S. was a rotational project girl group with an admission concept under DNI Works. They made their debut on November 26, 2010 with the digital single "Let's Play Dance".

They presumably disbanded in early 2015.

History[]

2010: Season 1, "Let's Play Dance"[]

On May 16, 2010, DNI Works opened the audition to recruit members, here referred to as students, for the first season of their admission concept project girl group Girl2School.^[1] In the same month, the agency announced the first four members: Minha, Jihye, Woori and Yeeun.^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]

From June 27 and July 5, 2010, the agency announced the next 11 members selected through audition: Heryang, Jinsun, Jina, Mina, Soyoung, Jiwon, Dayeon, Kyunghee, Aram and Sara.^[6]^[7]^[8]^[9]^[10]^[11]^[12]^[13]^[14]^[15]

With this, the group made their debut with the digital single "Let's Play Dance" on November 26, 2010.

On December 2, 2010, the agency announced another audition to recruit new members.^[16]

2011: New members, "Breaking Up Doesn’t Feel Like A Movie", "Poison"[]

In January 2011, three new members were added to the group: Jihye, Taekyung and Seungmi and the group became active as six with Jina, Woori and Jinsun.^[17] With this, the group returned with their second digital single "Breaking Up Doesn’t Feel Like A Movie" on January 27, 2011.

On August 8, 2011, Girl2School collaborated with YJB for their third digital single "Poison". Only Woori and Jina participated in this release.^[18]

In October 2011, DNI Works opened the audition to recruit members for the second season of Girl2School.^[19] Meanwhile, the group was active as three with Jina, Woori and new member Hyunyoung.^[20]^[21]^{[n 1]}

In December 2011, the agency revealed a new lineup consisting of: Moonhong, Heejoo and existing member Jina, Woori and Hyunyoung.^[22]

2012: Season 2[]

In November 2012, the agency revealed the lineup for Girl2School Season 2: Sehee, Mizi, Miga, Hayoung, Subin, Hyejin and Jihye.^[23]^[24]^[25]^[26]^[27]^[28]^[29]

2014: "Hands In the Air"[]

After a two-year hiatus, the group returned as a trio with Mizi and two new members: Sinwoo and Yejin in 2014.^[30] With this, the group creturned with their fourth digital single "Hands In The Air" on August 18, 2014, featuring the duo Bubble X, who later promoted as guest members of the group.^[31]^[32]

2015: Disbandment[]

Since January 2015, the group became inactive and presumably disbanded sometime in the same year.^[33]

Aftermath[]

Yeeun returned to being active as a model and actress.
Jinseon made her solo debut with "사랑한다 말해줘" in 2012, under the stage name J-Sun.^[34]
- She later debuted as a member of Pascol in 2013 with their first digital single "Pastel Color".
Soyoung went on to participate in the singing survival competition show Star Audition: The Great Birth Season 3 in 2012 as Kim Soyoung (#71 place), Superstar K6 in 2014, Produce 101 in 2016 (#82 place) and Tomorrow Miss Trot 2 in 2020 (preliminary contestant) as Kim Seola.^[35]^[36]^[37]
- She made her solo debut with "봄타나봐" in 2017, under the stage name Kim Ahyun.^[38]
- She was also active under the stage name Leni and sang OSTs for various children cartoons, as well as being a part of Lemon19.^[37]
- She is currently active under the stage name Soul:A.
Jina made her solo debut with the trot mini album Butterfly Flower in 2013, under her real name Choi Jin A.^[39]
- She also participated in the trot survival show Trot X in 2014, where she ended at #24 place.^[40]
Lee Jihye became active as an actress but appears to have retired.^[41] She is currently active as an influencer.^[42]
The circumstances of the remaining members are unknown.

Comedy duo Cultwo's Jung Chan-woo acted as the group's principle, as well as starring in their music video for "Let's Play Dance".^[43]
M2M's Heo Jun-hyuk was the group's vocal teacher.^[43]
In 2010, the group has over 30 qualified candidates but only 14 were selected to participate in "Let's Play Dance".^[44]
