"Get A Guitar" is the debut single album by RIIZE. It was released on September 4, 2023 with "Get A Guitar" serving as the single's title track.
"Memories" was pre-released on August 21, 2023.
The physical album comes in three versions: Rise, Realize and Japan Exclusive.
Background[]
On July 12, 2023, it was reported that SM Entertainment's new 7-member boy group will debut in September. SM responded that the group is currently filming their music video and is at the final stage of preparations, although no debut date was confirmed.[1] On July 31, 2023, SM Entertainment revealed that their new seven-member boy group would be called RIIZE. Additionally, it was announced that on August 1, 2023, at 12 pm (Korea Standard Time), RIIZE would not only open their social media accounts but also reveal their members, showcasing a variety of content to introduce each member to the public.[2]
On August 7, it was announced that RIIZE will be debuting on September 4 with their first single album "Get A Guitar".[3]
Commercial performance[]
As of September 3, "Get A Guitar" had reached 1,032,144 pre-orders.[4]
As of September 5, “Get A Guitar” had reached #1 in seven different countries on the iTunes Top Songs chart. It also reached the top 10 in 19 different countries.[5]
Hanteo Chart reported that "Get A Guitar" sold 1,016,849 copies in its first week of its release.[6]
"Get A Guitar" reached #1 on Oricon's daily album chart on September 18 and topped QQ Music's weekly Korean music chart in China for two consecutive weeks.[7]
