Gahyun (Korean: 가현; Japanese: ガヒョン; formerly romanized as Gahyeon) is a South Korean singer and rapper. She is the maknae of the girl group Dreamcatcher.
Career[]
2016–2017: Debut with Dreamcatcher[]
On December 5, 2016, Gahyun was revealed as the seventh member of Dreamcatcher.[1] The group officially debuted on January 13, 2017 with their first single album "Nightmare".
2024–2025: Change of stage name, departure from Dreamcatcher Company[]
On July 21, 2024, Dreamcatcher Company announced that she would change the romanization of her name to Gahyun.[2]
On March 10, 2025, Dreamcatcher Company announced that members Handong, Dami, and Gahyun's exclusive contracts are set to expire on March 31 and all three elected to not renew. However, the company clarified that the group will keep promoting as seven.[3]
