GOOD DAY (굿데이; known pre-debut as C9 Girls) was a ten-member girl group under C9 Entertainment. They debuted on August 30, 2017, with their first and only mini album All Day Good Day.
They effectively disbanded after five members re-debuted as part of C9's newest group, Cignature, in February 2020 while another four re-debuted as part of REDSQUARE in May 2020.[1][2]
History[]
Pre-debut[]
In July 2017, C9 Entertainment announced their first girl group, temporary named C9 Girls. On July 7, the ten members are revealed along with the group name, GOOD DAY. From July 20 to August 20, the group's reality show GOOD DAY 2 U aired on V Live.
2017–2019: Debut with All Day Good Day and disbandment[]
On August 30, 2017, GOOD DAY debut with their mini album All Day Good Day, with Rolly serving as the title track. The three B-side tracks are performed by the group's subunits: Good Morning, Good Night, and Midnight.
The group's members had no other activities together until C9 Entertainment announced a new girl group named Cignature with former members of GOOD DAY.
Aftermath[]
- From November 10 to November 16, 2019, Chaesol, Jiwon, Haeun, Viva, and Lucky were revealed to be members of Cignature.
- Haeun and Viva left cignature in April 2021 and are now part of the pre-debut group ALDL.
- On April 28, 2020, Genie, Cherry, Nayoon, and Bomin were revealed to be members of REDSQUARE.
- Heejin became a music producer and lyricist as a member of a production group called Solcire.
