GAIA (formerly known as Gen-Z) was a pre-debut four-member girl group under AXIS.
They are assumed to have disbanded after a lack of updates on social media.
History[]
2020-2021: Pre-debut[]
On February 26, the CEO of AXIS posted on his Instagram account a profile photo of the company's new 5-member girl group.[1] On the following day, a teaser video was published and along with it, the name of the group, Gen-Z.[2] Weeks later, on March 16, the profile photos of the members were also posted on his Instagram.[3]
In 2021, the CEO of AXIS replied to several Instagram comments stating that the group would debut in “1Q”[4], presumably the first quarter of 2022.
As of 2022, they are presumed to have silently disbanded, due to the members moving on to separate companies.
