Background[]

On October 28, 2024, WayV announced that they will be releasing their sixth mini album Frequency, on November 25.[2]

Composition[]

The title track "Frequency" is an old-school hip-hop dance song with a combination of heavy bass and strong drum beats, as well as a synergy of addictive hooks and unique raps on top of a boom bap rhythm. The lyrics say: "Let's go to a new dimension by tuning into our frequency". [3]

"Twist" is a medium tempo dance track with an addictive melody line, rhythmic beat, and the dynamic charm of the song's signature clap sound. The lyrics compare the feeling of falling for someone to the feeling of the whole world twisting.[4]

"Filthy Rich" is described as an English retro mood R&B dance song. It talks about how no matter how glamorous your life is, everything is meaningless if you don't have someone to talk to.[4]

"Call Me" is an English medium tempo R&B song that expresses the earnest wait for someone to contact you.[4]
